Vendor-to-vendor education to improve malaria treatment by private drug outlets in Bungoma District, Kenya

This article from the Malaria Journal describes private outlets that serve as the main suppliers of uncomplicated malaria treatment in Africa: They are numerous and beyond the reach of government influence and regulation. The study sought to evaluate a low-cost, outreach education program to improve the private sector's compliance with malaria guidelines in one district in Kenya. After training 73 wholesalers and giving them copies of job aids for distribution to small retailers, mystery shoppers more often received appropriate medications.
