Using Community Mobilization to Increase Uptake of Pediatric HIV-Testing Services and Ensure Enrollment into Care for Children Living with HIV

This story describes how, in an effort to proactively identify at-risk children and enroll them into care, the USAID-funded Strengthening Uganda's Systems for Treating AIDS Nationally (SUSTAIN) project collaborated with the Ugandan Ministry of Health and the USAID Health Communication Partnership project to conduct a "Know Your Child's HIV Status" campaign at 16 project-supported hospitals in Uganda.

The five-year (2010–2015) United States Agency for International Development (USAID)-funded Strengthening Uganda’s Systems for Treating AIDS Nationally (SUSTAIN) project is implemented by University Research Co., LLC (URC), with The AIDS Support Organization (TASO), Integrated Community Based Initiatives (ICOBI), Health Research, Inc. (HRI), and Initiatives Inc.
