This brief highlights the Promoting Malaria Prevention and Treatment (ProMPT) project in Ghana, funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) under the President’s Malaria Initiative (PMI). Through interventions such as door-to-door long-lasting insecticide Net (LLIN) Hang-Up campaigns, social mobilization activities, Case Management of Malaria in Pregnancy, and strengthening health system response and monitoring and evaluation of national malaria program, ProMPT is supporting National Malaria Control Program (NMCP), part of the Ghana Health Service (GHS), to drastically reduce malaria’s impact on the country. ProMPT is managed by URC with its partners the Population Council and the Malaria Consortium. The project has worked with the country’s NMCP/GHS to strengthen malaria prevention and control and scale up evidence-based malaria interventions since 2009.
