File Type .pdf | File Size 2.5 MB

This case study documents the history and results of team-based problem solving in Rwanda implemented by the Quality Assurance Project and Rwandan Ministry of Health in June 1998. The study used the detailed documentation of five quality improvement teams’ work to represent 30 teams working on more than 50 projects in six districts in Rwanda. The projects focused on improving quality of services by increasing the use of preventive and curative services, increasing family planning and vaccination rates, increasing revenues, reducing waiting times, or improving clinical performance (managing shock trauma, diabetes, etc.) (2003, 52 pages).
