Increasing Provider-Initiated HIV Counseling and Testing in South Africa

This report describes URC’s work in South Africa to advance the National Strategic Plan for HIV/AIDS and sexually transmitted infections. The project increased provider-initiated counseling and testing (PITC) by integrating these services with family planning and other related types of care. This report describes the strategies URC used to strengthen PITC and presents results.
