Gushegu District Hospital Boosts Capabilities to Combat Malaria

The Promoting Malaria Prevention & Treatment (ProMPT) Ghana project is helping to improve the complex systems that support nationwide malaria surveillance in Ghana. The project has helped Gushegu District Hospital to increase the rate of confirmatory testing of malaria diagnosed in outpatients: Less than 15% of these mandatory tests were performed in January 2009, but by March 2010, the rate had improved to over 60%.
