File Type .pdf | File Size 1.69 MB

This resources highlights Madagascar's recently scaled up volunteer community health worker (CHV) program in community-based Integrated Management of Childhood Illness (c-IMCI) and reproductive health and family planning (RH/FP) to project health care to remote and under served communities. It describes a cross-sectional observational method evaluation that was conducted using a sample of 149 CHVs. It came to the conclusion that CHVs trained in c=IMCI in Madagascar frequently made errors in managing childhood illnesses similar to those reported for integrated community case management programs in other countries.
