This technical brief describes USAID’s Health Promotion Communication Project’s (HealthPRO) work with local NGOs in the Philippines to increase locally-driven behavior change and communication (BCC) efforts and to enhance local governments’ capacities to sustain BCC activities beyond the life of the project.  The brief provides information on the strategies used, key achievements and lessons learned from working with the local NGOs.

HealthPRO is USAID’s lead vehicle for providing technical assistance in health promotion and communication to the Philippine Department of Health, local government units, and other collaborating institutions.
