Calidad en Salud Contributes to Steep Fertility Decline in Guatemala

File Type .pdf | File Size 1.24 MB

The fertility rate of women in Guatemala has decreased from about five children on average in 1999 to 3.6 in 2009. These declines were matched by an increase in use of contraception and other family planning services. This document describes how URC and the Guatemalan Ministry of Health helped contribute to these successes through the Calidad en Salud project.
