This report contains findings from an assessment of the Millennium Challenge Corporation funded KALAHI-CIDSS Community-Driven Development Subprojects in the Philippines. Assessed subprojects included rural roads and bridges, flood water protection structures, community health clinics, water pump systems, community production and economic development investments, and skills training for women, among others. The assessment focused on how well the subprojects met the needs of the community while upholding good governance, engaging in sound asset management practices, engaging community-based organizations, and addressing gender issues. The report concludes with recommendations to the Philippines' Department of Social Welfare and Development, for the international donor, and for local governments and community-based organizations.
