Addressing the Burden of Cervical Cancer in Mongolia and Mitigating the Impact of Cardiovascular Disease among Mongolians

This document describes URC efforts in Mongolia to reduce cervical cancer and to mitigate the impact of cardiovascular disease (i.e., heart attack and stroke). The project is introducing the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine trial while increasing and improving the quality of cervical cancer screening. URC is also helping to implement national policies on diet and smoking and educational campaigns while improving tertiary services for those who experience a cardiovascular event.
