The URC Quality & Performance Institute (QPI) is a division of URC which serves as an organizing force to bring together best practices, staff experience, partnerships, and documentation on improving health care at URC. URC Senior Vice President Dr. M. Rashad Massoud is the Director of QPI.

Currently active in 30 low- and middle-income countries, QPI

• Uses evidence-based quality improvement to improve both the care for patients and the health care delivery systems that serve them
• Applies improvement science to a wide range of health care issues, including:
  • Maternal, newborn, and child health
  • Reproductive health
  • HIV/AIDS
  • TB
  • Malaria
  • Other infectious diseases
  • Chronic health conditions
  • Vulnerable Children and Families
  • Community health
  • Health workforce development

The USAID-funded Health Care Improvement Project is URC’s flagship project in quality improvement.
