Skills for Employability and Productivity Project

The Skills for for Employability and Productivity Project, funded by Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), is working in Côte d’Ivoire to improve the fundamental basic and technical skills for employability of Ivoirians to improve economic diversity and ensure continuing economic strength in the country.

The project will work with MCC and the National Committee for Compact Development of Côte d’Ivoire to inform the project design for the formation of the five-year MCC Compact with Cote d’Ivoire aiming to strengthen the secondary education system to improve access to and quality of basic and soft skills and develop a novel approach to practical technical and vocational education training (TVET) in partnership with the productive private sector in Côte d’Ivoire. The project will include the construction of new secondary schools and pre-service teacher training, creation of TVET centers in partnership with private sector associations, and gender-inclusive policy formulation efforts in Abidjan, Bouaké and San Pedro in Côte d’Ivoire.
