Project Duration: 2011 to present
Countries: Georgia
Through this four-year project, URC is working to reduce the number of TB cases in Georgia, thereby achieving the country’s Millennium Development Goals. The Georgian health system is rapidly undertaking several policy and programmatic changes, including large-scale privatization of health care infrastructure, such as general hospitals and primary care facilities. The project is supporting the integration of TB services into this changing system. This includes facilitating and implementing strategies for health systems strengthening, health care provider capacity building, partnership leveraging with TB stakeholders and other healthcare players, and behavior change communication.
