CHS helps Malawi with HIV patient care
The Center for Human Services (CHS), URC's not-for-profit affiliate, has been awarded a grant by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to manage collaborative efforts to improve access to quality assured viral load test results in Malawi.
CHS is supporting the Ministry of Health in leading and providing technical assistance to strengthen patient-centered HIV care by linking directly with patients' viral load and other essential lab data. CHS will also help apply continuous quality improvement methodologies to improve anti-retroviral therapy (ART) for patients in Malawi’s Department of HIV and AIDS.
The project is contributing to HIV program investments to ensure that all ART patients receive quality viral load tests, integrating test results in specific patient records on a timely basis, and adjusting patient treatment based on levels of viral suppression.
We are pleased to be helping HIV patients in Malawi receive improved care.
