Zimbabwe
In Zimbabwe, the development of health care systems is of paramount importance to achieving population health goals.
URC’s work in Zimbabwe began in 1990 with the Quality Assurance Project (QAP), providing technical assistance and conducting operations research on health care quality improvement. In 2013, URC became involved with the Health Results Innovation Trust Fund, providing technical support to strengthen the existing quality of care policy framework and develop a strategic plan to support implementation of that framework. As a complementary activity, URC also provides technical support for the development of a new set of quality of care score cards to support the introduction of financial incentives for clinical quality of care and quality improvement activity measures.
