Lesotho
Lesotho has among the highest rates of critical infectious diseases in the world and continues to face struggles in ensuring that all of the population has access to essential health care.
URC has been working in Lesotho since 2009, providing support for monitoring and evaluating construction activities for 150 health centers and outpatient departments, antiretroviral therapy clinical, and a central laboratory and storage facility. Through the USAID-funded Applying Science to Strengthen and Improve Systems (ASSIST) Project, URC is also working foster improvements in a range of health care processes through the application of modern improvement methods.
Through the region-specific component of ASSIST, URC continues to assist the Ministry of Heath and other implementing partners with the national roll-out of the Partners for HIV-Free Survival Initiative in Lesotho.
